Welcome to TrickPhotographySoftware.com – My little corner of the Internet where I share some tutorials, ideas, and useful bits and bobs about creating some fun photography.
As well as showing you a few cool pieces of software that you can download for free, there are also Photoshop tutorials, reviews of training packages, and bits of information that you can use.
Why Trick Photography?
Why not? It’s good fun and gives you some opportunities to be creative. For many people, photography is a very serious pastime and for others it’s a full time profession. For most of us though, it’s all about having fun, being original, and capturing funny moments. Have you ever thought about tweaking those moments to make them even more memorable?
While many people loving showing off on Facebook these days, they don’t necessarily do it in the most original way. With a little bit of practice, education, and skill, you can turn your Wall into something to be proud of.
Of course, if showing off on Facebook isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other fun uses to be had with a bit of trick photography.
There are essentially two ways of creating special effects. One is to just take a normal photo and edit it later, the other is to actually TAKE a trick photo. Not everyone relies on Photoshop to get their desired effects. Playing about with camera settings, lighting, or perspective is easily done.
Really though, it’s just fun to learn all the methods.
For Photoshop, you can read this tutorial.
For learning all about trick photography both in AND out of Photoshop, then this eBook is highly recommended.
All you need is a simple DSLR and you’ll be having a blast with it in no time.
Most of the tutorials here are done with images and explanations, but I do want to point out that you can see some video tutorials in places, and I’ll be adding more as time goes by.
Also, if you really want to get some top quality expert video tutorials then you should check out my review of Lynda.com.
